Location
I took this photo in Bellagio, ItalyTime
It was around 10 am. I had never been to Bellagio and just wanted to look around. I saw these buildings and stairs and wanted to capture the bright colored buildings and the angle of the stairs plus the mountains in the background. I did not want many people in the shot. It was after the tourist season so I was lucky.Lighting
I wanted to show the vivid yet earthy colors of the building.Equipment
I used a Minolta dimage camera. This was in 2004 before I knew much about photography!Inspiration
I believed it was a great example of the towns in Italy. The rich colors of the buildings.Editing
I did not know how back then!In my camera bag
Now I have a Nikon D3100 which is a good beginners camera. I always have my 18-140mm lens as well as my 18-55 lens. I also carry my 55-200 lens and micro 40mm lens. All by Nikon. Backup batteries and memory cards. Lots of cleaning clothes. My Zomei travel tripod comes in handy.Feedback
Just be open to your surroundings. Sometimes I visualize what I want to take. In this shot it was just there and it caught my eye.
