Location
the picture was taken in Bangkok near a Chinese Shrine in Silom areaTime
it was late afternoon, almost eveningLighting
it was still light part of the day and it was overcast, right side and behind the keeper was the shrine creating shadowEquipment
nikon D300s, nikkor 50 mm f1.8, no flash, ISO 200, f 4, 1/160Inspiration
first of all the character of the keeper itself, happy guy who is taking care of this small Chinese shrine... it is his whole life... living from what he gets from the neighbours and rear tourists... happy, this is the keyword I guess... you don't need a lot to be it...Editing
postprocessing in Lightroom, adjusting exposure, contrast and darkening the background, some sharpeningIn my camera bag
depends... for street photography like this - sometimes one of old nikons or more often canon 5d mark III with 50 or 85 mm lens or "lazy" kit - 24-70mm f2.8 but lately more and more often just sony a6000 with 16-70mm f4 zeiss lens, cp filterFeedback
nothing new here i guess - just look for the character or a situation, pay attention to the background and light, try to tell a story... sometimes you have to wait for the moment
