Location
This image was taken outside in my backyard in the desert of Arizona, where the only thing hotter than the air is the concrete.Time
I had just gotten back from a morning wedding around 4 pm when I looked outside and noticed the reflection of the sunlight on the sprinklers water drops next to a Texas Sage Bush. I grabbed my camera and started to shoot away!Lighting
Lighting was all natural from the late afternoon sun.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon Rebel SL1 with the Lensbaby Velvet 56mm lens. No other equipment required!Inspiration
I am a huge fan of bokeh. I actually strive for it in most of my work. The enchanting feel that bokeh can give to a still image is breathtaking.Editing
I added a very light purple filter set it to screen and lowered the opacity to about 15%.In my camera bag
I have since upgraded my camera to the Canon 5D MARK III, I also keep on me my Canon 70-200mm, my Canon 24-105mm, and my Lensbaby Velvet 56mm. Are my go tos!Feedback
My only advice is to keep your eyes open for how light is cast upon objects. Light is the key to photography. Learn it and then love it!
