This picture was taken on the side of my house, in Washington state .Time
It was around 5 pm and I knew it were time to get my camera ready and wear my raining boots to join and enjoying taking pictures of my little "bandy " and the other snails that were dancing in the rain .Lighting
Here, I wanted to show the viewers what a different that makes to take your photographe in different angle.Especially when a shot is taken from the side. From this angle the photo brings out the definitive lines of the leaf, the body of the snail, and the circular lines of its shell. With the deph of field that I had created, We can see that this "little Bandy" defines lines .Equipment
When I took this photo I was using my Canon Rebel Xsi. with an macro adaptor, Manfrotto tripod which I have used at first but I couldn't get the position that I wanted with it. I wanted to be lower then the snail to gain a little bit more depth of field. So I took off the tripod and put my self against the rock which was under the mollusc, then I inclined my camera and Voila !Inspiration
I really like colors and details in photography but while observing this snail sliding on the leave, like, it wanted to win the marathon, I realise that the sharpness and the curve of the leave were giving an harmony to the snail with its lines. Then I have been inspired by the title of the picture . .Editing
Concerning the editing of this picture, I only cropped a part of it and that's it !In my camera bag
In general, I have my 55-200 mm canon lens with me, my 10-18 mm wide angle canon, I also use a 150-600 mm sigma and a canon 50 mm lenses .I hope to get a macro lens next time that will help me to create my nice little world, like I have done with this picture here but we will see were the future bring me .Feedback
