Location
The photo entitled 'Ble Corner' was taken in a convent in Arequipa in Peru in 2013. We spent almost 3 weeks touring Peru with three nights in the Amazon rainforest at the beginning of the trip. Peru is a country of colour and contrasts that I can thoroughly recommend to anybody interested in landscape, street or portrait photography.Time
Difficult to remember but I am sure that it would have been early afternoon on a sunny day in April, a month that carries a chill in the air in that part of the world; so close to The Andes.Lighting
The lighting was slightly constrained by the shot being in a courtyard within the convent but the strong colours contrasted with a very brilliant white on other walls and buildings helped.Equipment
At the time the equipment would have been one of my first digital cameras and probably my old Canon EOS 400D and an 18-135 mm Sigma lens if i remember correctly.Inspiration
The strong Blue was the immediate attraction and what appeared to be a quirky set of steps that maybe went somewhere no longer accessible.Editing
No post processing necessary with this shot.In my camera bag
I now have two Canon cameras in my bag. A Canon 600D and also an 80D with a 50mm prime lens; an 18-125 zoom, a 10-20 mm wide angle Sigma lens and a 72-300mm Canon Zoom lens plus lots of batteries and cards of course.Feedback
My only advice foe anybody following Photography as a hobby is to take what you like; whatever appeals to you but at the same time open your mind to what's above you, behind you and below your eye level. There is so much that isn't immediately at eye level and the way we live these days, in so much of a hurry, it is easy to miss things.
