Wow what a fantastic image !!! How do you get such a wide range like the ground and the sky....looks like the lens was inches away from where you were standing. Is it 2 images blended on photoshop or a single click?

Location
The picture was taken in February 14th 2015 on the Lofoten Islands / Norway.Time
Time of day: 11:44 amLighting
The light conditions on the islands are changing from minute to minute. The special thing about this moment was the contrast between the dark foreground and the light in the background.Equipment
Nikon D800 with Nikkor 14-24mm/2.8 and tripod.Inspiration
The crystal clear water in the foreground with all the green and reddish colors in it, full of life contrasted with the arctic landscape in the background. I wanted to show that life in the water is possible also under such strong external conditions.Editing
Post processing is part of digital photography nowadays. Here I did some processing on sharpness and clearness in the water in the foreground. In my camera bag
This is depending on the subjects: Nikon D800 and D4s; Nikkor 14-24mm/2.8, Nikkor 24-70mm/2.8, Sigma 70-200/2.8, Tamron 150-600mm/5-6.3; various filters (Lucroit), shower cape as protection of the equipment; tripod; remote-control release.Feedback
Have patience with the light conditions. Be prepared for long hours in an arctic environment; warm clothing, hot drinks, some food. Never forget that the stones on the beach can be very slippery and ice; some spikes on your shoes can be helpful!
