Behind The Lens

Location

Dallas Zoo

Time

Middle of the afternoon.

Lighting

I had decent shade from the trees and enclosure.

Equipment

Nikon d7100 with a Sigma 70-300 macro lens.

Inspiration

All of the birds were beautiful so I had to get at least one decent photo.

Editing

I focused on sharpening and adding clarity to the eyes and surrounding feathers. I also did some basic light tweaking and added a tiny bit of vibrancy and saturation.

In my camera bag

Nikon d7100, 50mm f1.8, 35mm f1.8, 18-55mm f3.5-5.6, Sigma 70-300 f4-5.6 macro

Feedback

These birds were not staying still long. I found a scene that I liked and focused on birds only in that area.
