This image was taken in the Desert of UAE the place called Liwa Desert it's located in AbuDubai..Time
The sand image was taken during sunrise but the stars & Milky Way been taken at night time... we can't possibly see that morning time ;)Lighting
Well lighting on the sand was very flat as Morning sun created a big ambient light so the highlights & shadow was enhanced while editing the image in photoshop to create the mood..Equipment
The star image been taken with my trusted & Old Canon 60D with Sigma 17-50mm. 2.8 lens the sand image was taken with 6D which belongs to 1 of my friend & yes for better quality I used tripod as it reduces camera shakes & image comes crisp & clear :)Inspiration
I am a person who gets inspiration from everything but this particular image is inspired by 1 pic which I saw in a art gallery but it was only dunes in B&W but I decided to create a series where I can portray the Beauty of the Desert at night.Editing
Yes a lot of processing was involved in this series, as I mentioned I wanted to portray the Beauty of the Desert but while I was preparing for it I faced difficulties such as weather, proper lighting, exact place so I had to improvise decided to shoot the stars during the night time & the desert during sunrise so I can get both of them clearly. But I wanted to look it as natural possible & only merging images was giving very clean background but is normally not the case so had to edit the stars bottom part so it matches the horizon, on the other hand I created shadow & highlights on the sand I can match it with the night sky...In my camera bag
Normally I carry all my gears with me in my car so whenever I need it's with me. My bag is having my canon 60D, Fuji XE1, Sigma 17-50, 70-200, 50mm, 150-500 & 8mm fisheye lens then extra batteries, memory cards, timer, filters, Tripods etc...Feedback
Hmmm everyone has different taste so it is always better to do research what you are about to shoot & create your own style rather than doing similar as then it's a copy not your own work. but again if someone do wanna copy then just go ahead & shoot they have all the needed information in this :)
