Location
This photo was taken in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA. I was taking a photo workshop. This was an extracurricular session. A few members of the class paid this model for this early morning session.Time
Early morning.Lighting
We had expected some warm sunshine but got fog instead. It was unexpected, but I think it was wonderful.Equipment
I used a Nikon D300 with the Nikkor 18 to 200mm lens hand-held. All natural light. No reflectors or other light modifiers.Inspiration
I liked the fact the model was isolated from any background by the fog. She almost seems to be floating.Editing
I did all post-processing in Lightroom. I cropped this image, darkened it using black clipping, color corrected it, and sharpened it.In my camera bag
Nikon D300, Nikkor 18-200mm lens, Tokina 35mm lens, Nikon SB600 flash. Extra cards and battery.Feedback
First you must have a model who is comfortable posing nude. Sand dunes or water make interesting venues for a "nude in nature" shoot. Make use of the light you have.
