Behind The Lens

Location

This pic was taken in my studio

Time

Mid morning

Lighting

The lighting on this shoot was fun, We had finished shooting a spread for Necro Girls Magazine and decided to have some fun. I gave Cindy, the model my Ranger Quadra flash heads and told her to light herself. The results were a little insane, but totally spectacular

Equipment

Canon EOS 5D MK3 with a 24 to 105mm lens Flash units - Elinchrom Ranger Quadra

Inspiration

I have no idea what inspired this idea, it was just one of those crazy things that pop into your head when you are in the middle of a shoot with an inspirational model

Editing

Post process was quite simple, adjusted light balance, muted the colour a little

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 5D MkIII, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens, Canon EF 100-400mm L IS USM Lens, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro Lens, Helios 135mm prime lens, Canon 5DMkII, extra batteries, cable release, light meter

Feedback

The only pitfall with this is sometimes the model is just too close to the light source, Try to get her to keep the light faced away from her so that she never directly illuminated
