Love the expressive interaction between your daughter and the horse. Nice capture!

Location
We had 20 acres behind our house in Bay Minette, AL. I am a self taught photographer and my daughter, Zoie, has been my muse since she was born. My animals also have been used to perfect my passion for Animal & Landscape Photography!Time
We were playing around in the pasture because it had just got finished raining. My daughter had recently got a new pair of rain boots and wanted to play in the water so I jumped at the chance to practice. This was around 3-4pm. My favorite time to shoot is late afternoon!Lighting
I love shooting late afternoon because the lighting is absolutely beautiful. I also like to capture light flares at the perfect moment.Equipment
I just used my Canon 300D. This was my first DSLR. It's an older body but still works great!Inspiration
This was actually an "oops" photo! I absolutely love getting those "oops" shots because they seem to be the best. My daughter has been in love with horses since she was very little and this horse, Stormy, was her favorite. The relationship they had is beautiful and very magical. Since this photo was taken we lost Stormy and I am so thankful that we will always have these pictures to remember her by.Editing
This was one of my first pictures so I was still really new to post processing. I used Picasa to edit this picture with a ready made filter. In my camera bag
I always carry my camera body, at least 2 lenses, extra batteries, filters, and maybe some extra stuff that has made its way into my bag over time.Feedback
I would say just let your kids and animals run and play together. That is how I've gotten some of my most favorite shots. Just have fun and don't be so serious, especially when kids are involved.
