Location
This photograph was taken at the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, at San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. This is probably one of the most beautiful lakes in Patagonia. This is a special beach, very close to the city where I go during sunsets, it is one of my favourite spots.Time
This picture was during sunset. Both sunrises and sunsets are always special in Patagonia.Lighting
The light this time was perfect. The clouds had that orange/pink colour filling up the sky and bathing my whole scenery with beautiful light.Equipment
I shot this on my Canon 6d using the famous "plastic fantastic" canon 50mm f1.8, the cheapest but yet amazing lens. Who says you need an L lens? This was shot on a tripod.Inspiration
I have been fascinated since the first time I visited Nahuel Huapi Lake by the amount of things happening at the same time. The fast moving clouds, the amount of different rocks, the birds flying, but what probably made me fall in love with this scenery was the wind. The wind changes this landscape dramatically, not only by shaping the mountains over time but by how it affects the lake. Waves are never the same, and even on some special days you can have a flat mirror lake :)Editing
I used Adobe Lightroom for color correction. In my camera bag
I normally have my Canon 6d, my canon 50mm f1.8, my canon 24-70 f4L, and my tokina 11-16 f2.8. Always carry a tripod!Feedback
Keep shooting, the more you shoot the more you learn! If you are intereseted in long (and not so long) exposures you will have to earn as much experience as you can, sooner or later you will learn which exposure time is exactly what you need to get the shot you want.
