This is quite a unique sight to see. This was taken a few years ago. This little guy used to come to my feeder with all the other doves. He has a genetic mutation that makes his feathers super dark brown and black...instead of light and grey-pink like the other doves. The others would pick on him quite a lot, but still let him hang out in their flock...then one day he vanished. So glad I got to meet him when I did. Beautiful blue lined eyes! we miss him.
