I took this photo in my garden, its quite big and I am always out there taking photos.Time
I was out in the garden after having my evening meal, just mooching with my cats and taking photos in general. It was taken at 6.26pm on a cloudy April day.Lighting
The lighting wasn't great for this shot but I had to take it quickly in case Scamp moved - although he stayed there a good 10 minutes in the end.Equipment
I used my Canon SX30 set to auto.Inspiration
My cats are often doing crazy things but this has got to be the daftest! Scamp heard some birds twittering in a near by tree and it was almost as he if thought 'ah dinner!' and he shot up the table. He curled up trying to get comfy then flung his leg out and just stayed there. He looked so silly and cute I had to take a photo. Just glad I had my camera on me!Editing
Not with this shot, what you see is what I took. I sometimes will crop an image or brighten/darken it, but I wanted this one to be as I took it.In my camera bag
My camera and a hood, sometimes I'll take the tripod but its too big for my bag.Feedback
With cats be prepared for all sorts of funny shots, as to getting one like this...it was a once in a lifetime kind of shot. He's been on the table before but never in this pose and for that long. Just spend time in your garden with you pets and see what they get up to! If they're anything like mine they're bound to bring a smile to your face.
