Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on top of Drachenfels (Dragon's Rock), a hill overlooking the city of Bonn, Germany and the Drachenfels Castle.

Time

I was able to take this picture right before the tourism area closed at 6pm.

Lighting

Though most of the day was sunny, clear and beautiful, a massive storm clouded rolled in on Bonn, Germany later in the evening. I thought the cloud would've ruined the picture, but I feel it added a bit of texture and warmth to the picture.

Equipment

I'm happy to say that I captured this on my iPhone 5s, which was the only camera that was working for me that day.

Inspiration

I was inspired by a lot of things. First, I had just moved to the area and heard I could get a nice 'view of the city.' That tip led me to think about the castle, the Rhein River, the architecture and the nice German landscape. I couldn't pass up that opportunity.

Editing

None what-so-ever.

In my camera bag

Lately, I've only been carrying my iPhone 5s, as my other equipment is in need of repair.

Feedback

Have fun, go out there, climb higher and take a few chances - you never know what you might get.
