These shoes are worn by sponge dock diver in Tarpon Springs Florida which is the sponge capital of the world.. If I remember correctly, they are made of leather, wood and copper (IF I remember correctly) also, they weigh approx 30 lbs.
I can now imagine a fashion designer add this to a line...
