Location
The photo was taken in Yangon, Burma.Time
The picture was taken one Sunday afternoon around 4 pm .I was out walking and this wonderfully beautiful woman was sitting along the road. I gently asked if I could take a picture of her, which she accepted. Taking photos of people in Burma is not obvious, I respected her by asking, which I think is an extremely important aspect when photographing people you do not know.Lighting
This beautiful was woman sitting on the street, on a gray concrete sidewalk, leaning against a white electric cabinet. I wanted to capture her face so I approach her in order to get a better view of her face and I believe that the light from the electrical cabinet along with her dark face and her blouse create the effect I wanted for the picture.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USMInspiration
The woman in the picture is a homeless woman, she is living in a very poor part of the world. When I saw her sitting along the road, alone, I could not resist asking if I could take a picture of her. Her beautiful wrinkled face, which in many ways reflects her life, made me inspired to take the photo. The beauty of the picture from my piont of view is her wrinkles and her eyes.Editing
I am not a professional photographer, but it is my passion. I use Lightroom when I edit my pictures. For me it is an easier way to edit my pictures. In this picture, I have enhanced contrast, adjusted white balance, brightness, saturation. In my camera bag
My camera bag includes a Canon 5D Mark II, three lenses, a 24-70mm f / 2.8L, 24-105mm f/4L and 70-200mm f/4L. I prefer my 24-70mm f/2.8L lens that is ideal for portraits and a great all around lens.Feedback
I think a lot depends on the moment, to get a good photo is about capturing the moment. It was just the moment that got me to take this picture. As in this case, respectfully ask if you can take a picture. I was fortunate enough to get it and at the same time approach her to capture her beautiful face. It is not obvious to photograph people, but by showing respect and humbleness can you get far.
