The vagrant darter (Sympetrum vulgatum) is a European dragonfly. The species takes its English name from its habit of occasionally appearing as a rare vagrant north of its normal range. However, it is likely to be under-recorded because it is very similar to the common darter (S. striolatum).
The species is common in central and northeast Europe.

Location
The photo was taken in the garden of my house in Aviano-Italy.Time
This is probably one of my favorite images. I remember when i took this image, it was arround 1 PM and stay all time intact to take this picture to avoid loosing this dragonfly. had no tripod, so i tried to balance the camera without any shaking and staying in focus the maximum that i can. This was taking on 17/08/2013 at 01:11 PMLighting
when i took this image, the weather was so clear and the lighting was very beautiful in this day and i don't need the help from external lighting, everything was natural in this photo.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D5100 with a Nikkor lens 55-200 mm.Inspiration
I really like the macro photography, specially for insects, and when i saw this dragonfly on the tree without any movement, i took my camera and take this photo.Editing
I use Adobe Lightroom 5 to adjust the brightness and to transform my RAW file and put the logo on my photos. In my camera bag
In my bag we can find everything you need for photography, starting by the Nikkor kit lens 18-55 mm, the Nikkor 50 mm lens f/1.8 and Nikkor 55-200 mm. second, i have my remote control, some filters (ND filters, Macro filters, UV filter), extra battery, and a Manfrotto Tripod.Feedback
From my few years experience in photography ( 2 years experience now), you should have patience and waiting the right time and moment to take photography, and be prepared for all kind of situation to have the best image.
