The afternoon sun that lights up the front of this location is always a challenge. I'd swear the limbs on the big oak tree that towers in front of the barn, decide how my shoot will go. The lighting can be very harsh this time of day.Equipment

I'm in love with black & white images. While I was viewing the images from my session with Grace, this image drew me in and knew I needed to apply a black & white action. After applying an action with a hint of dark brown, I immediately wanted to know what was going through her mind. I wanted to know where Grace's hat had been.In my camera bag
Unless I am doing a specialty shoot, I only carry my Canon 60D with a 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM UD Telephoto Zoom lens attached. I love the quality of images the 70-300mm produces.Feedback
I'm a natural light photographer and absolutely love to photograph people in the environments where they are most comfortable. Once people make their connection with their favorite place, they forget that I am snapping away. I love candid; not stiff. Flowing; not posed. If my subjects are happy where they are being photographed, it then reflects in their images. I want people who see my images for the first time to be able to see the story.
