Location
This location is at the City of the Rocks National Monument in Southern Idaho.Time
This shot is a sunset photograph of an arch at City of the Rocks.Lighting
Shuffling the tripod on uneven ground to keep up with the star burst of the setting son was a challenge but the aircraft flying it's way through my frame felt more like gift.Equipment
The camera I used was a Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 70-300 mm zoom mounted on it.Inspiration
Two things inspired this photo and they are the Arch and the setting sun. It was only while after photographing the arch for a moment I realized the passing of a distant jet liner nicely in the frame.Editing
I over exposed and cropped this photo in post processing. I didn't like how dark the foreground was in my original exposure. In my camera bag
My camera and lens, not to mention a simple cleaning kit that consists of a small bottle of alcohol, Q-tips, extra satin cloths, a bulb type blower along with extra batteries and SD cards.Feedback
The thing that runs through my mind when it comes to advice with an image like this is to be prepared to hurry with our tripod/camera and know what is happening in the frame.
