Two travelers are exploring General Grant Sequoia Grove along the Grant Tree Trail with camera and walking stick in hand. They have just walked through a felled & hollowed sequoia dubbed The Fallen Monarch; likely felled by natural decay, hollowed by fire, and used as shelter by Native Americans, wildlife, and eventually employees after 1890 when the grove was established as General Grant National Park. Exiting the Monarch they are met with the awesome sight of even larger giant sequoias - cameras at the ready.
