This photo was taken in at Fuller Lake in the Pine Grove Furnace State Park. This lake is situated near my home town of Waynesboro, PATime
I took this photo at sunrise. As you see, the shadow line is from the sun rising over the mountains in the early morning hours.Lighting
I wanted to capture the fall colors at dawn so I set up pre dawn and waited for the morning rays to hit the leavesEquipment
I use a canon rebel dslr with a 55mm lens. No flash and no tripod. I had waders on so that I could get into the lake and get a better angle.Inspiration

Get out early and shoot what your eye catches. Fall colors are really great early or late in the day as the light is softer and more warm
