This shot is of the wreck of the "Maheno" a coastal freighter that broke her tow line whilst being taken to Asia for scrap in the 1930's. She just didn't want to leave Australia for good! She finally came to rest on the East Coast of the stunning Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia. I first got to see her in 1983 and sadly she is succumbing to the elements and now has just a shadow of her former beauty but that demise in itself makes for spectacular images!
Taken on my last photo trip to Queensland's beautiful Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world.
