Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken on the west side of an old barn in Pennsylvania
Time
This was mid afternoon on a warm day in January so the sun was low in the sky
Lighting
This was completely natural light, no modifiers or reflectors used There was an over hang and the model was not in direct sunlight, as you can see to the right of her the sunlight on the barn wall
Equipment
I shot this with my Nikon D750 and a 50mm f/1.8D AF Full manual, hand held
Inspiration
I was walking around the property looking for good areas with great natural light and the warmth of the sunlight and the wood I felt would give the right mood for the images I wanted to capture
Editing
Adobe LR and Adobe PS with normal beauty editing.

Feedback
Shoot on a sunny day and look for areas that have great natural light but not direct sunlight. This way you get great shadow and contrast but not the harsh shadows of direct sunlight. Shoot with your Aperture wide open for shallow depth of field to isolate your subject from the background and surroundings
