Location
Goat Canyon Trestle, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, CaliforniaTime
Between 9pm - 10pmLighting
Lighting proved to be difficult as there was no moon out. The Goat Canyon trestle is the largest wooden trestle in the world and, for this star trail image I only needed to light it just right once i used a 1000 lunen flashlight to do so.Equipment
DSLR Canon T5i Camera, 11-16mm Tokina lens, Tripod and remote for continues shooting.Inspiration
My fascination for the night sky, and new found interest in hiking.Editing
Stacked images using a free software called Starstax and some Lightroom adjustments. In my camera bag
Tripod, Flashlights, headlamps, other miscellaneous lights, zoom lens, gloves, jacket, extra socks, snacks, water and something to light a fire with.Feedback
Hiking to this location was tougher than expected. Even if hiking during the colder seasons take plenty of water, as a rule of thumb 2ltrs of water for every four miles hiked.
