Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at a local airport car show in bethalto il.

Time

I think I took this picture at about noon. In October.

Lighting

Lighting was a bit of an issue for me. It was over cast and we only had maybe 6 min. Where the sun came out.

Equipment

I took this with my Canon t4i. (For some reason on my profile it says I took it with my iPhone) I didn't use a tripod or my flash. And if I remember correctly I think I used my fixed 50mm lens

Inspiration

I have always loved old pictures of classic cars. And I always wanted to try and re create the look and feel of an older picture but with out a lot of noise. Over all it's one of my favorite edits I have done.

Editing

I did process this picture in Photoshop. And was my first attempt at a " grunge" type look. I didn't lay it on too thick just enough to give it a punch. i also warned it up a bit.

In my camera bag

Well let's see I have my canon t4i, my three lenses(50mm, 18-55mm, and my 75-400mm) I also have my Manfroto tripod and a circle polarizer filter. I also have my GoPro equipment but nothing special.

Feedback

Don't be afraid to take several of the same pictures but with different setting. You never know how it's going to turn out until you do it. Also be patient especially while taking pictures at a car show. Your always going to have people walking past your shot so you have to try to time it all just right. And post processing, just experiment with stuff get it to the look you like not necessarily what other people like. It's ok to be creative and do your own thing.
