Behind The Lens
Location
This photo of Dry Falls was taken on S11 in NC near Highlands, NC.Time
Time of day was around noon, some cloud and some sunLighting
The lighting is natural, which I use as often as possible to get the most realistic imagery.Equipment
I use a Leica V-LUX1 12 MP Camera for all my photos. No Tripod, the Vlux is a stand alone 35mm to 440mm zoom lens and zooming at 440mm you def need a tripod with the time for your shot although I've take awesome shots with point and shoot and have gotten great results, it matter how steady your hand is.Inspiration
I live in the area and take many photos of the landscapes in the Blue ridge and Great Smokey MountainsEditing
Not on this shot, although on some photos I may add a gradient to enhance color slightly to give a little POP to the image, too much and you can blow your image away.In my camera bag
A battery charger and my VLUX1 LeicaFeedback
I don't remember my settings for this particular image and as for the texture of the water, smooth like silk, just practice different settings, most decent digital cameras today can reach that effect with practice and you become a force to be reckoned with in the Photog field. Enjoy your journeys and show the world the world.
