Location
This shot was taken during a visit to the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire UKTime
The time of day was 14:15 on a bitterly cold (but sunny) afternoon.Lighting
The area in the shot caught my eye immediately due to the colour reflection on the water surface. It was then a case of waiting for one of the species of Ducks that was in the area to get into the scene.Equipment
My trusty Canon 5D MK 2 along with my Tamron 70-300mm lens 'racked out'Inspiration
As I mentioned previously, it was the stunning colour on the water surface that really caught my eye.Editing
The image was put through Lightroom where I added a slight vignette to the piece as well as adding more warmth to the surface of the water. I then finished off the piece by adding some clarity to the main subject. In my camera bag

Be prepared to get dirty!! I was lying flat on the ground to get this shot. Warm clothing is also a must especially in the colder months. Feeling comfortable should result with better images. As in all wildlife photography, it's always best to keep low and out of the way in order not to spook your subject(s). Camouflage clothing can help you blend into the scene if you are really serious in the field of wildlife photography. Have some knowledge on the subjects that you wish to shoot...Homework is key to getting the shot!
