This is a dog we met when we went to Alaska in 09. He loved for someone to throw a stick in the water, he would always bring it to you and him go get it once you threw it. This is the picture that got me hooked on photography! I took this with my Nikon Coolpix S5200 not as clear as I would want it, but it is still one of my favorite pictures :)

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo is Anchorage, Alaska.

Time

Sunset

Lighting

The sun was pretty low when I snapped this shot. I find the best lighting is Golden hour, also when it's kinda cloudy.

Equipment

I used a Nikon Coolpix S230

Inspiration

When we was in Alaska, my family and I was getting a camp ready for kids. I was walking back to the place we was staying and I noticed that everyone was by the lake so I decided to see what was going on. One of the guys that was helping with camp was playing with this dog by throwing a stick in the water. He would always go get it and bring it back for you to throw it again. So, I hurried to get my camera. He was throwing it for the last time and I snapped it right then and this is the results :) .. This was my first camera and also, was my first photo that got me hooked on photograph.

Editing

I didn't

In my camera bag

Canon Rebel T1i. 70-300 lens.

Feedback

When you are dealing with dogs and trying to get photographs. The best way to get there photos is to play with them. Throw a ball, stick, anything will do. They just want some attention.
