Time of day was early afternoon on a bright overcast day.Lighting
This was shot under natural lighting conditions. As water is a naturally reflective surface, light bouncing off the pond created soft fill lighting on the tiger's face.Equipment

Finding beauty in all forms of nature is inspirational. In this particular case, the near-perfect reflection of the cub's face called for releasing the shutter.Editing
This image received standard post-processing of the RAW file in Lightroom and Photoshop. This included cropping for maximum impact, spot removal, noise reduction, adjustments to contrast and color, and sharpening. A large blemish on the cub's nose, probable evidence of rough and tumble play with other cubs, was removed. Nik Color Efex Pro was also used to darken and slightly blur the edges of the frame to draw attention directly to the cub's face.In my camera bag
Currently, I carry the Canon 5d Mark III and a range of Canon lenses: 24-105mm, 70-200mm, 180mm macro. At times, depending on what I'm planning to shoot, I will also have available the 100-400mm and a fisheye lens. My tripod stays with me as well.Feedback
I've found that observing wildlife and developing a sense of their behavior and what they're likely to do next can improve one's photographic opportunities, in terms of ability to be ready when something great is about to happen. In this case, watching the angle of light and its effects on the face and the reflection as the tiger waded about in the pond, led to the capture of this image.
