This photo was taken on top of the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria South Africa. We took my grand father there as he last saw the monument when it was builtTime
It had been drizzling the whole day and stopped just before we got to the top. This was around 10 o clockLighting
It was just overcast enough that the lighting was perfect to create the effect I wanted.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3100 with the 18 -55mm kit lensInspiration
Looking at my grand father, who had just recently lost my grand mother it was a bit symbolic, he would be walking the rest the path aloneEditing
I did not touch the photo, it just had the right feel for want I wanted to portrayIn my camera bag
My must have kit includes my Nikon D3100, 18-55mm kit lens, 70-300mm Nikon lens as well as my trusted polarizer and ND filtersFeedback
You do not have to stage or pose photos. Look around keep your eyes open at the moments will present themselves! I am not a big fan of posed portraits I love the candid pics which really captures moments in time.
