Location
This was shot with me standing in my front yard, facing my porch.Time
Around 2000 or 2100 hours, during springtime in Florida.Lighting
No lights in front, and a good backlight through the window provided by the lamp inside.Equipment
Just the Fujifilm FinePix JX370 point-and-shoot that was my main camera at the time, with the ISO down low.Inspiration
I love silhouettes. Anytime I see a strong backlight I'm looking for a silhouette. It was here.Editing
A teeny bit of darkening. In my camera bag
Nothing... since I usually don't have a bag. ;) But if I go out specifically to make pictures I like to take a small mirror, sheets of different-colored paper, my mini-flex tripod, and a flashlight. Simple stuff.Feedback
Simplicity! Always simplicity. It forces you to think a little more creative, a little more unconventional. Also, don't look too hard for a shot. Let it come to you as you keep your eyes open and you'll have a lot more fun with it.
