"Picacho Peak" means a "Big" Peak in Spanish. It is a state park and one of the monumental peaks you view as you drive along interstate highway I-10 between Casa Grande and Tucson, Arizona. It is an incredible rock jutting out over 3000ft high, and can be seen over 40-50 miles away. It is believed to be a settled rock eroded over by a lava flow many moons ago. It is an amazing site for hiking, climbing, camping and of course photography, at any time of the day!
