This shot was taken in Murrells Inlet South Carolina USA. I was photographing the beautiful water lilies when I saw this very busy bee. I couldn't get him on a flower because he kept moving so fast from flower to flower!

Location
I took this photo while on vacation in South Carolina. I was at a place called Brookgreen Gardens.Time
I loved the way the sun made the lilies translucent. It was early afternoon and the colors caught my eye as I walked around this circular fountain. The fountain itself was gray and uninspiring but the lilies were amazing!! I just happened to catch this bee as I took this shot. A bit of luck for me!!Lighting
Light shining through the lilies instead of on the lilies.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3200 with a 300 mm zoom lens.Inspiration
The light and the colors is what attracted me to this shot.Editing
I only did some cropping on this shot.In my camera bag
I usuall carry a 50 mm prime, a wide angle and a zoom lens.Feedback
Get down to the level of your subject. And look for the odd ways that light shines through an object.
