Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my way back to the barn to start work for the day. I walked out the door and snapped this picture fumbling my camera coffee and keys. Central British Columbia, Canada

Time

It must have been around 7:30 am, as the light was on the barn. It slowly warms the barn up as it rises and by the time I am done stalls and feeding.

Lighting

There was a light snow storm passing just as the sun was dawning giving this photo a unique light. Also a warning of red sky in morning cowboys take warning, we later had a strong snow front move in.

Equipment

This was taken on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC2

Inspiration

I was in a rush to get out the door thinking of all I needed to get accomplished by days end, arms full of gear, coffee, keys, doing the mental mambo and when I saw this I just stopped. I put down the plethora of daily detritus physically and mentally and stopped. That is what inspired the photo, the feeling of peace it gave me and the desire to capture it and hold onto it awhile longer.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

My Canons, I love canon cameras and have a couple point and shoots laying around such as the poor little Panasonic I took this picture with.

Feedback

This was not set up or particularly a skilled shot, but I feel like the only advice would be to stop, and take the picture. When opportunity gives you a shot that makes you feel strongly take it.
