Location
I took thin photo in a beautiful place called Araluen Botanical garden near Perth Australia.Time
I took this shot around 1:30 in the afternoon, it was a very warm day and I was able to take my time trying to find the best Fern to photograph.Lighting
The day was bright, but the Ferns were in some shade from some small trees but just the right amount that made this shot an easy one without having to adjust any light.Equipment
I used an Olympus Tough camera, no tripod or flash was used.Inspiration
I loved how the Ferns looked and with all the new frawns growing it was a joy to get this shot.Editing
I really knew right when I got this shot that I wanted it to be black and white because of the nice contrast, so I used Picasa editor to do just that.In my camera bag
I use a Nikon D5200 with an 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens, also I use and Olympus Tough, a tripod and various filters for the lenses.Feedback
Take your time and be aware of everything around you, you will be surprised at the amazing things you can photograph from very small to very large.
