This is my best friends 6 month old photo shoot. He was not that participative until he was all the way naked with his stuff animals. He just sat there coo'ing away talking to his friends as this shot happened. Love the butt dimples!

Location
I took this at the mothers home, inside Henry's room.Time
It was about 4-5 pm and the evening light was just starting to shine bright in his room.Lighting
It was truly a play on the lighting to highlight him playing with his buddies. It was between changing him that I seen the opportunity and it set it up quickly as he played to get this shot.Equipment
I used my older Cannon 20D as my other was on a higher tripod getting ready for the next set up. No flash with a 28-50mm lens as it was a quick opportunity that became this great image.Inspiration
Henry was making talking noises at two of his buddies and we took some semi-naked shoots and he turned around and just started mumbling to the animals. We quickly set up his other buddies and just let him play naked!Editing
I just shadowed the sides to bring focus on him and his buddies and made slight edits to the contrast and low light areas to bring the depth and subtlety that the natural light already added to the shot.In my camera bag
I always have my trusty old 20 D that I have been learning on in various lenses with flash mounts that I can transition and used to. I always bring my tripod and my other 5D which I just added to my arsenal along with other artificial lighting in case it's needed. I like having two cameras because of this reason right here, I seen a different opportunity and immediately took it with my trusty old camera to make this shot work.Feedback
I have been learning a lot as an amateur photographer that the benefits of natural lighting can really bring out photography. The light on the back wall and highlighting the stuff animals really create the depth to this photograph. We all know that infants and babies are always hard to get "that shot" you're looking for, but in this opportunity Henry started playing with his friends and capturing this moment is something his mother will never forget.
