Awarded Superior Skill. The head of the bird is so clearly focused, yet the wings in flight give the photo so much movement. Excellent!

Thanks! Yes, hand held. I can't figure out how people use tripods with fast moving subjects! I'm too antsy for that! Want to get on to the next shot!

Thanks! It was a lot of FUN! I don't think that I could get these shots if I tried using a tripod! The action is way too quick and I am lucky to be able to follow at all! LOL Thanks for sharing your feedback on hand holding for these images too!
