Location
At a benefit car show at the Birch Run Michigan VFW for a little boy named Alex Duve.Time
this was taken mid morning.Lighting
In this case I used no special lighting, in fact is was a gloomy, rainy day so I just relied on what I had naturally.Equipment
I used a Fugi Film FinePix S4500, just set on portrait, no tripod!Inspiration
Well. I always take my camera to car shows but this one really struck me, as the whole show was geared towards raising fund for little Alex who was suffering with cancer. The graceful figure was sitting on top of a shabby old Caddy and shooting Skyward, Alex was there all bundled up all smiles, brave and full of hope and this image represented to me his hope and the hope of all of us together there for one cause.Editing
Other than making it black and white, No!!!!In my camera bag
Extra batteries!!! and my uni-pod sometimes :)Feedback
Car shows are generally difficult to take pictures at, always people or other cars in the shot. So I try and take the shot at an angle with a desirable back ground. And depending on how much chrome is on the car you need to check your sun position but then again sometimes a little reflection of the sun looks just perfect.
