This photo was taken just a few steps from my house.Time
I noticed as I was walking out to check the mail around mid-day- the striking colours of these flowers and had my phone on me so went straight to take a pic.Lighting
The sun was quite bright and the flower was standing out nicely in the mid-day light.Equipment
I used my Samsung Galaxy S4 camera to take this shot.Inspiration
Beautiful colours drew me to the flowers. When I saw the bee on this flower that sealed it for me and I forgot about the mail!Editing
I did crop the picture just a little for a closer view of the flower and to ensure the bee was seen. Was happy with the clarity and sharpness and colour.In my camera bag

If taking the shot with a camera phone held only by your hand- as I did really take your time with the focus to get the clarity and experiment with different angles trying to get as close as possible while still maintaining the focus. If you can't get the clear shot As Close As You Would Like try going back, a little at a time till you achieve it then you can always crop a little after through editing ensuring you frame nicely. Another tip if like me you have no tripod - use your surroundings eg A fence post can steady your hand or whatever you have handy be creative.
