Besides carnivals, Portobelo has another festival that brings lots of curious people to town, Festival de la Pollera Conga. A tribute to a caribbean tradition where all girls, small and big, wear these very colorful skirts and costumes and showcase them in choreogrpahed dances and parades. This little one stole my heart once I saw her, perfect example of a passing on traditions and local culture.
