Legend says this altar, sought for pirates due to their believe it was made of solid gold, was painted in black as a disguise so it could not be stolen and taken away.. although, it is wooden made with just gold dust covering, a little secret pirates failed to know. Today placed inside the San Jose Church within the Casco Viejo colonial area, in Panama City.
