Behind The Lens

Location

We were driving over the Port Mann Bridge in Vancouver, BC. There wasn't much traffic directly behind us so I asked my husband to slow down enough for me to get the photo. I put the shutter to faster speed to reduce the risk of blurring the images and it worked out amazing!

Time

It was late afternoon.

Lighting

I set my white balance to work with a sunny sky and worked with the natural lighting I had.

Equipment

I took the photo with my Canon T5 camera using a 70-300mm lense.

Inspiration

The inspiration came from the fascination of my husband and kids and the design of the bridge itself. It really appealed to me to make it work the effort to slow down and get my shot.

Editing

No, I didn't do any edits to the photo after I took it.

In my camera bag

I typically have my Canon T5, a 70-300mm lens, my 18-55mm lens and a Canon Speedlite 580EXII flash.

Feedback

I would advise that if the timing and conditions are right then it is worth it to slow down and take your shot. However, if the bridge had been any busier that it was at that moment I wouldn't have gotten the shot. I likely would have tried to go back at another time. Safety First!
