ok - well what i did- i used the windowsill in the bathroom, no flash, slave or other light. I taped some wrapping paper to the window and used a black baking tray with water in it, placing it on the window ledge. I hung a food bag with water in above the tray from the curtain pole. pricking a tiny hole with a needle. I then watched for where the drops where hitting the water. I put the camera into macro mode and switched to manual focus. i put my fingertip where the drops where landing and focused on my nail(manual stops it from trying to refocusing everytime) and took a few shots. I then tried a pencil where they landed and this worked much better to focus on. then, using a remote control with the flash off, i sat back and took hundreds of pictures, trying to get the timing right!. There should be enough light mid day to enable a fast shutter speed to capture the action!! I really hope this helps you to get the perfect shot - If you try it from this I would love to see your results!!! please message me and show me your work!!
