Great Macro Shot!!! It looks like the wings are made of mother of pearl and the body - so different. Super Capture.

Behind The Lens

Location
At Belper River Gardens
Time
Around 11am
Lighting
I used all natural light and shot in the shade.
Equipment
canon 600d with the 18-55mm kit lens and a macro extension!
Inspiration
I saw him, I was there with my mum and my son, we were relaxing feeding the ducks and this little guy came and sat on some greenary at the side of me drying his wings, he didnt move for ages though in fairness, a brilliant model!
Editing
No- None
In my camera bag
I carry a 70-300mm tamron telephoto lens a 105mm sigma macro a sigma off camera flash, cockin filters, a polarizing filter 5 spare batteries and x 2 32gig sd cards! basic stuff really and not expensive I took this a long while ago!
Feedback
be patient! Macro can be difficult to get the hang of, especially the depth of field. Take you time and if you can practice on household objects a lot first before you go out after those illusive bugs.
