Inspiration

I had walked past this many times during previous visits and never considered photographing this but on this morning the sunlight was landing on this in such a way that the textures were greatly enhanced. There was no way I could pass up this opportunity.

Editing

I processed this image using Adobe Camera Raw and Nik Silver Efex software

In my camera bag

In my camera bag I usually have my Canon 7D, 28-135mm, 70-300mm, 100mm prime as well as extra batteries, memory cards, filters as well as lens cleaning cloths.

Feedback

To get the textures and patterns to stand out I recommend composing your image with the sunlight landing at about 45 degrees on your subject. The textures just pop is you get it right
