For this photo I used a Canon 7D hand heldInspiration
On previous visits to the Getty I had this particular composition in mind but there were always people in the way. On this visit I mad sure that I was the 1st person to enter and I immediately raced to this location to do a photo study of this hallway. I only had about 10 minutes bit managed to get my shot.Editing
I processed this image using Lightroom5, Nik Silver Efex then another pass in Lightroom 5. In my opinion the blacks are much better in Lightroom and I can boost the contrast very easily.In my camera bag
In my camera bag I usually have my Canon 7D, my 18-55mm, 28-135mm, 70-300mm lenses and assortment of filters, camera wipes, extra memory cards and a bunch of lens wipesFeedback
My only advise is to scout your location, pay attention possible compositions, camera settings, the ambient light and possible distractions (people etc), then you can arrive at the proper time to get you photo. This approach always works for me.
