Location
This was taken in a nature sanctuary in Newcastle.Time
It was mid afternoon when I went to the sanctuary to see the birds, little did I know that the sanctuary had a baby koala and when I got there the little one was trying to get to the soft leaves at the end of the branch. It was a perfect moment that I just had to catch.Lighting
The lighting on this one was difficult. it was natural light filtering in through a covered roof. I had to do a lot of shifting angles to find a shot where his little face was not all shaded.Equipment
I used my Canon 700D with a Sigma 150-500mm lens.Inspiration
I love animals of all sorts and I love taking pictures of them, baby animals are even cuter so when I saw this little Koala I could not help myself.Editing
I didn't have to do much post processing on this one, just some adjustment of levels. that was all.In my camera bag
My canon 700D with a 24-105, 150-500 and 100mm macro lens along with some spare cards and batteries and a couple of flashes. I find with this kit I can usually capture most of the types of images that inspire me.Feedback
Keep taking pictures. Even when you think you have the perfect shot take more. Wildlife don't pose for the camera, it is all about catching that moment when everything just works and you never know when it will come.
