Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Homestead, Florida.

Time

It was taken in the morning, I remember passing by on my way to the Everglades.

Lighting

it was not to early in the morning, so I had plenty of light. It was a beautiful day in Florida, not raining and not to much sun either.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D800 with wide angle lens for this picture

Inspiration

Usually I like to take my pictures really early in the morning, but this day it was close to noon, the beautiful blue skies contrasting with the green on the fields and the impressive machine for the irrigation got my attention while I was going to "Anhinga Trail" in the Everglades.

Editing

I usually use Light Room to balance and accentuate the colors, but for this one in particular I did not have to work to much on the colors.

In my camera bag

Just the camera and an extra wide angle lens thats it.

Feedback

For me the best thing that works is just to pay attention to my surroundings, I love Nature photography so when something get my attention I just take the shoot, it just comes to me naturally. Sometimes nothing is interesting enough and sometimes I can't stop shooting I guess is just being alert and look around, there is plenty of beauty in Nature . To find something breathtaking is easy, the difficult part is to reflect all that beauty in a photograph.
