These garlic chives grow in a basket attached to a brick wall .. I used my Canon 500D screw on close up filter added to an 18-55 mm lens .. I liked the contrast of the red of the bricks to the white of the flowers .. I used a large aperture to blur the brick wall and an ISO 100 to capture as much detail as possible

love the clarity and background - I'm going to have to try out that Canon 500D close up filter - you recommended it, I bought it, and I haven't used it yet - it's been only a year, so no hurry, I guess - - - -
